Defining America, an exhibit curated by Carolyn Grosch at Western Carolina University’s John Bardo Arts Center, focuses on different perspectives of the concept of America. Participant Randy Shull of Pink Dog Creative has a featured work, “Simultaneous Pattern” — a map of the United States that creates a platform for discussions about immigration, cultural exchange, and contemporary politics. Other featured artists include Trenton Doyle Hancock, Ramiro Gomez, Nari Ward, Tom Sachs, Javier Téllez, Shan Goshorn, Porge Buck, Martin DeWitt, Kevin Bradley, and Julie Belcher.
