“Much was lost, but not everything,” Fleta Monaghan writes in a late-night essay reflecting on Hurricane Helene’s devastation. Last September, the longtime River Arts District artist and founder of 310 ART watched as the thriving creative community she helped build was torn apart overnight. Studios crumbled. Histories scattered. But, as Monaghan reminds us, “the community and creative spirit will not be lost.” That spirit takes form in #RADstrong, a group show opening July 18 at Pink Dog Gallery. The exhibition features nine artists displaced by the storm — including Monaghan — working across media like painting, photography, and encaustic. Participating artists include Annie Kyla Bennett, Bridget Benton, Wesley Ethyn Bowers, Gretchen Chadwick, Heather Clements, Sarah Faulkner, Jack Henry, and Stephen Santore. All sales will go directly to the artists; there will be no gallery commission.
#RADstrong: July 18-August 17; Opening Reception: Saturday, July 19, 4-6pm
