Miniatures Show celebrates big ideas in small formats

Big stories arrive in small packages at The 22nd Annual Miniatures Show, returning this February to American Folk Art & Framing. A beloved winter tradition, the exhibition celebrates the power of scale, inviting artists to create original works no larger than 7 x 9 inches, without limiting subject matter, materials, or imagination. The result is a joyful, densely packed gallery of tiny paintings, carvings, assemblages, and sculptures that reward close looking and invite first-time collectors in with approachable price points. This year’s iteration features new miniature works from a wide-ranging roster of folk and self-taught artists, from legendary whittler Minnie Adkins to woodblock printer Kent Ambler. The exhibition goes live online February 4 at 11am, with an in-gallery opening on February 6.
