What I’m Working On:
Funding for the Blue Ridge Parkway is declining, which prompted a benevolent visitor to the parkway to award a $300,000 challenge grant for the creation of a fund to maintain trails, picnic areas, facilities and overlook preservation. The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation has to raise matching funds by the deadline of June 30 or the gift will be forfeited. In an effort to participate, I just finished a colored pencil drawing of Craggy Gardens titled “Trails and Views”, an iconic vista on the parkway. Half the funds collected for the limited edition prints will be donated to the foundation.
