American Folk Art Gallery decks the walls
Come Fly With Me, Danette Sperry

This December, American Folk Art Gallery unveils a merry menagerie of hand-hewn treasures as part of A Few of Our Favorite Things. Opening December 3, the beloved year-end exhibition transforms the downtown space into a festive trove of color, character, and craftsmanship. Nearly half of the gallery’s folk art family will be represented, and, according to the gallery, visitors can expect a wide array of “funky folk art tree ornaments,” from hand-carved critters by Lonnie and Twyla Money to sculpted ceramic baubles by Ben J. North. “These unique adornments just can’t be found anywhere else,” the venue shares in a press statement. “Whether you are looking to add to your own collection or give the gift of art this season, there are so many exciting pieces in this year’s show.” The exhibition will also feature new work from Tres Taylor, John Sperry, Michael Banks, Shawn Ireland, Kent Ambler, Rosa and Winton Eugene, Danette Sperry, Cornbread, Jack Klippel, Stacy Lambert, and more.

A Few of Our Favorite Things: December 3-30; Opening Reception: Friday, December 5, 5-8pm
