Grand Bohemian Gallery hosts reopening celebration

After months of rebuilding in the wake of Hurricane Helene, the Grand Bohemian Gallery is throwing open its doors — and throwing a party. On Friday, June 27, from 5-7:30pm, the refreshed space in Biltmore Village will welcome visitors for an evening of art and resilience. Expect the return of collector favorites Mitch Kolbe, Jean Claude Roy, Chris Sedgwick, and Evan Kafka — plus the Asheville debut of Charles Clary, whose hand-cut paper sculptures transform grief into intricate beauty. “My work ultimately reveals the necessity to keep striving for a brighter tomorrow,” Clary says. He’ll be on-site for the reception. Also featured for the first time: archival pigment prints by the late Vadim Bora, whose creative legacy helped shape Asheville’s arts scene. “We are so happy to be once again showcasing our esteemed local and regional artists, as well as providing exclusive representation in the United States for select international artists in a beautifully newly redesigned space,” says gallery director Constance Richards.
